Farewell to March

I'm spending the last day of March with two of our 10 (soon-to-be-eleven) grandchildren.
Their visits are too far apart.
Yesterday they sang 3 duets for the hymn-sing crowd at Golden Years.
It was my Friday to lead it.
Afterward, we stopped by my favorite nursery.
The weather was crisp, but the folks at Neuhousers
were scurrying to arrange their natural setting
to showcase the incredible plants they stock seasonally.
Everywhere I look, trees are budding and blossoming!
You can see some of them in the background above.
(The kids' arms came out later after some successful thrift store shopping
when it was time to dye some eggs!)
What a grand and BUSY  way to end the month of March!

  1. Making memories with grandchildren is an investment. My paternal grandmother was and is my hero. She was such a profound influence in my life. Her unconditional love was priceless to me as an obese child. I will always remember her for that. Enjoy those grandchildren. Just spending time with them tells them all they need to know and they will never forgot that you made them feel important and loved. Take care.

  5. Listening to your cute grands sing hymns must have been special! I always enjoyed dyeing eggs so much and miss that. Like you, we don't get to see our four grandchildren often enough. So we treasure the times they are with us. Have a wonderful Easter season!

  6. I'm left wondering where March went to. I want to treasure April more. I have one sweet grandbaby for a couple hours today. He's playing cars on the floor with Pawpaw. How precious for the elderly to hear the children sing. I'm sure you were blessed by it, too!

Our Son is the only one who is childless and since the Daughters won't be having any more we look forward to The Son's brood when the time comes for him to begin a Family. 12. Wonderful fun... we've still to decorate our eggs. Maybe I could be inspired some beautiful blooming trees. I guess I'd have to travel to Indiana to find some.
