There is beauty to behold up close
and beauty to be seen in the larger picture.
I'm trying to take in the colors in our yard
before the predicted frost has its way
with the early and brave blooms tonight!
The early spring has certainly kept us busy.
Mowing, weeding, raking out the debris of winter...
Seems impossible that this Sunday is Resurrection Sunday!
My pastor husband and I will be leaving right after
Sunday morning's Worship Celebration for our vacation.
Our plans impact the WAY we will celebrate this year
but not the REASON we celebrate!
The WAY and the REASON are not the same thing!
Let us never confuse the two!
The Way? Sunrise services, Easter eggs, a traditional meal, chocolate, etc.
The Reason? He is risen!
Hallelujah!
What WAYS will YOU celebrate this year?
The WAY and the REASON are not the same thing!
Let us never confuse the two!
The Way? Sunrise services, Easter eggs, a traditional meal, chocolate, etc.
The Reason? He is risen!
Hallelujah!
What WAYS will YOU celebrate this year?
Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.
And
now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead,
and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there.
Remember what I have told you.”
(Matthew 28:5-7)
Have a wonder Easter vacation :) Thanks for sharing the photos and the Scripture. I'm really looking foward to this coming Sunday. I'm not sure if I'll make it for the sunrise service, but I'll be there for the regular service :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

ReplyDeleteAh, the reason and the way, beautiful. Your photos are gorgeous, especially the first two.
ReplyDeleteRebecca, what beautiful blossoms you have there!
ReplyDeleteWishing them a night that is a bit warmer than predicted...
Wishing YOU and blessed weekend and a Holy and Glorious Easter!

Wishing you a glorious Resurrection Sunday...and a vacation filled with memory-making moments!
ReplyDeleteYour yard photos are very pretty Rebecca and everything is so neat! I'm still working on that!! It is supposed to get in the 30's at night next week here but they say nothing that will harm the plants. I hope they are right, the farmers have already started their crops down here.
ReplyDeleteVacation? Well I don't know about that! I'll miss being able to message you in the mornings!! But now I'm just being selfish!! I hope you two have some wonderful quality time together, wherever you go. Have a Blessed Easter!
Love Di ♥
Your garden is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteSpringtime photos are among my favorites, and yours are filled with the colors and happiness that spring brings.
I especially love the bell, Rebecca.
Happy and blessed Easter to you and yours,
Love,
Jackie
He is risen indeed!
ReplyDeleteOh, Rebecca's, I can't believe I have stayed away from your inspirational facebook pages and deprived myself of refreshment. Praying for your Easter to be joyous and blessed. I I can't believe we're eating out this year...after we attend the first service at a new church started by our church in the town where my hubby grew up and where we raised our children.
ReplyDeleteAmen!!! May you have a wonderful Vacation. Thanks for stopping by for a visit... yes, just a select few would want the Ranch "As Is" but I'd be most definitely one of the "Select Few" who wouldn't change a thing... alas, somebody will probably purchase it that will change everything and to me that would be a shame. Quite often the expensive properties here in Arizona are purchased by wealthy folks that change so much of the places they purchase that it makes you wonder why they didn't just build a custom Home instead? Sometimes there has been an outrage as a wealthy new Owner has razed a Historic Home that everyone adored just to build something new in it's place!!! *Gasp* Quite often while meeting with the previous owners who Love the place they will pretend they will cherish it... that would have to devestate the Seller when they realize the truth. I know Robin & John put their Hearts & Soul into that Ranch so I truly Hope someone who appreciates how unique it is will be the new Owners?

Morning Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your sweet prayers and words. I am feeling better but not quite there yet, but praying we will be able to get together with family tomorrow, and that I will be able to attend services.
I sure don't want to give this stuff to anyone, so guess we will see what tomorrow brings......................
Those are beautiful pics of your yard and flowers, spring is just the greatest and so reflects our Lord. Yea, I can't believe tomorrow is
resurrection day either, but what a delight and hope we have in Jesus
and all He has done for us.
Have a Wonderfully Blessed Easter hon,
Love, Nellie

P.S. We enjoyed an early church service, and quiet morning at home, followed by a soon to be eaten family dinner. The best of life's doings.
