Farewell to March

I'm spending the last day of March with two of our 10 (soon-to-be-eleven) grandchildren.
Their visits are too far apart.
Yesterday they sang 3 duets for the hymn-sing crowd at Golden Years.
It was my Friday to lead it.
Afterward, we stopped by my favorite nursery.
The weather was crisp, but the folks at Neuhousers
were scurrying to arrange their natural setting
to showcase the incredible plants they stock seasonally.
Everywhere I look, trees are budding and blossoming!
You can see some of them in the background above.
(The kids' arms came out later after some successful thrift store shopping
when it was time to dye some eggs!)
What a grand and BUSY  way to end the month of March!

  1. Making memories with grandchildren is an investment. My paternal grandmother was and is my hero. She was such a profound influence in my life. Her unconditional love was priceless to me as an obese child. I will always remember her for that. Enjoy those grandchildren. Just spending time with them tells them all they need to know and they will never forgot that you made them feel important and loved. Take care.

  2. Glad you had time with the grandkids! I'm on my way to Colorado to see mine!

  3. Oh my Rebecca, you have had your hands full! But a very good fullness!
Your two photos said it all. Love Di ♥

  4. Happy Sat. morning to you Rebecca,
Looks like yall are having a fun time with the grandies, they are so cute.
Love that your hubby is dying eggs with them, sweet!
Are those lilac trees in the background?? Whatever they are they are purely gorgeous. Oh how I love spring, new life just bursting forth
everywhere to remind us of our dear Jesus!

Thanks so much for coming by and for all your lovely birthday wishes,
it added more sweetness to my day!

Now I am off to see your thrift store finds, bet that was load of fun.

    Have a great weekend,
    Love and Blessings, nellie

  5. Listening to your cute grands sing hymns must have been special! I always enjoyed dyeing eggs so much and miss that. Like you, we don't get to see our four grandchildren often enough. So we treasure the times they are with us. Have a wonderful Easter season!

  6. I'm left wondering where March went to. I want to treasure April more. I have one sweet grandbaby for a couple hours today. He's playing cars on the floor with Pawpaw. How precious for the elderly to hear the children sing. I'm sure you were blessed by it, too!

  7. I always stop in to breathe a deep, spirit filled breath of goodness. Your blog is... comforting!

  8. Days spent with the grandkids are the best!!!

  9. Good times with the Grands is always high on my List of memorable moments too! Congrats that a new one is on the way! Our Son is the only one who is childless and since the Daughters won't be having any more we look forward to The Son's brood when the time comes for him to begin a Family. Hard to believe that Easter is already around the corner, this year is flying by so fast!

Blessings from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian

  10. Beautiful spring finery off your deck, Rebecca. Even more beautiful gifts standing on it. :)

  11. I love the way you use your black board...so creative and I bet the grands eyes lit up when they saw such a welcome greeting!

  12. Wonderful fun... we've still to decorate our eggs. Maybe I could be inspired some beautiful blooming trees. I guess I'd have to travel to Indiana to find some.

    Blessings, Debbie

  13. Thank you, as always, for your kind words! And "copy" away! I love having my dishes conveniently located for special occasion...and for every day too!

Looks like you've been having some spring fun of your own. Time with the grands is always special, and as your other commenter said, an investment in their lives. Love the picture of your hubby helping!

A blessed Resurrection Day to you!

  14. I just wanted to say hi, give you a hug for your sweet visit..and to say I am on my way to see what bargains you found! Those little ones are cuties!! :)
