I removed THIS chalkboard from the wall and it filled the fireplace opening nicely. Then I googled "how to draw a turkey" and tried my hand at the easiest one I found.
This morning in our Ladies' Home Connection (Bible study followed by lunch), we did a little search about the Apostle Philip. From John 1 we read: "(Jesus) found Philip and said to him,'Follow me.'...Philip found Nathanael and said to him, 'We have found him of whom Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.'"
Jesus found -- AND Philip found!
Jesus found ME -- and I found Jesus.
What a thrilling (and humbling) thought.
While hoping that "inspiration would find me", I realized that I could find inspiration, too. It required thinking outside the box, removing a chalkboard from the place it has hung for quite awhile, finding a drawing that seemed within my potential of replicating it, giving it my best effort, and then finding a suitable, framed picture to hang in the bare spot.
...Not so unlike my experience with Jesus!
The more time, thought and effort I invest in knowing Him
and communicating with Him, the more satisfaction and pleasure I find!
I found this to be a very interesting post :) nice job drawing the turkey :)

I agree 100% percent...and when God gives inspiration and we follow it, what joy it brings to our soul
