Where'd the Weekend Go???

Friday afternoon, hubby and I visited a few shops in a small town nearby.
We enjoyed the sunshine, sights and sounds of the holiday season.
After Ladies' Brunch at church Saturday morning,
some lingered for conversation
and others went straight to decorating the church for Christmas.
That evening, hubby and I enjoyed the Holiday Home Tour with another couple.
Gary and I try to do this every year.  We love seeing the homes decked out for Christmas.
The Williams Woodland Neighborhood is over 100 years old
and filled with beautiful restored homes.

Sunday morning, our worship service began with one of our sweet families from church lighting
the Second Advent Candle (left).  Later in the evening, we enjoyed a fun gathering with our Home Connection.  Along with an evening meal, we did a read-through drama--each person was assigned a part.  Apparently, we have many budding actors and actresses in our small group!
This was a really fun activity!
A "white elephant" gift exchange capped the evening.
So THAT'S where the weekend went!!!!

  2. The entire year has flown by me dear Rebecca. I think we'll die soon, lol! You seem like you had a great weekend, how nice, I love churches at Christmas time, there's a custom here where people go to various churches to visit and see the stunning Nativity scenes and sing to baby Jesus. I do that with my little girls. Thanks for sharing and for your always wonderful and generous visits. Love,

I won't be online much this month as I am trying to keep the stress levels down and stay peaceful inside. Not easy to do right now.
I will check in from time to time, Love you my friend... Di ♥

  4. We have a different family light the Advent candle each week at our church, too. It's really fun to get to know them, because they always introduce themselves, before they get to the heart of the message :) :)

That pastry looks yummy and the home tour sounds like a lot of fun :) :) Have a great week. Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)
