Thumbs Up!

Thumbs Up to my favorite mug!
While I'm still in the list-making groove,
here's my Thumbs Up List.  THUMBS UP to.....
  1. Today's entry in My Utmost for His Highest:  "You can't drink grapes."   (You'll have to read the whole thing to understand this line.)
  2. A good phone conversation with my brother (who is also a doctor) last night.  Helped me with my P.I. issue.
  3. A free meal and fellowship at last night's Thursday Table (Holy Trinity's monthly service to our community).
  4. An opportunity to attend an AWANA traning conference tomorrow.
  5. A working furnace.  (60 degrees in the house was just too cool not to turn it on yesterday.)
  6. Autumn.  Currently my favorite season of the year.
  7. Adult children who love Jesus and are committed to serving Him faithfully.
  8. The chance to be a sounding board for one of them (adult children) yesterday.
  9. God's Word, literacy, and teachers who taught me how to read.
  10. My husband who must have SOMEthing up his sleeve.  (He left for the office with the instruction not to plan anything for lunch!  Could he be planning a celebration of our engagement anniversary which is actually tomorrow???)
 Be thankful in all circumstances,
for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
 I Thessalonians 5:18

  2. Aren't we so blessed? Enjoyed reading your list! My grands have been part of the Awana program for a long time, and I am so impressed with the amount of Scriptures they have memorized and the fun times they have had. I am grateful to all those who worked with them so faithfully.

I am happy about number 2 for you!
Hope you and your hubby have fun

  4. A resounding "amen" on this end! I love Fall (and working furnaces). I've dragged out my sock & sweats, and even put flannel sheets on my bed today.

There's something about stealth husbands who plan surprises. Bet it's fabulous!

  5. The chance to be a sounding board for an adult child is something I do often also. But I love doing it. You have so many good blogs I don't know which to look at first.
