Give Thanks

Why NOT?  Thanks to Brenda at Cozy Little House for the idea of using rubber stamps as part of the decorating scheme.  I'm not--and never have been--a stamper, but I have a few stamps that I've used for place cards or package decorating during the holidays.  I think these two look charming on the shelves of my old step-back cabinet.

More important than how they LOOK is the reminder they are to me to ♥GIVE THANKS with a GRATEFUL HEART♥

I Chronicles 29
11 Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power
   and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
   for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, LORD, is the kingdom;
   you are exalted as head over all.
12 Wealth and honor come from you;
   you are the ruler of all things.
In your hands are strength and power
   to exalt and give strength to all.
13 Now, our God, we give you thanks,
   and praise your glorious name.

  1. I love this sweet friend, Jacki, at Christie Cottage will be showing "inspirations" on her blog today....little things that we all have around our homes that serve as a reminder of the ONE we serve!!! HOPE you have a blessed day!!!

  2. Wow, Deb! You're up early :) I'll have to "find" Jacki. Thanks for the tip.

  3. great idea! I will go through some of my stamps too and see what I can find! I have some artificial leaves that I cut up so they are "individual" which I've scattered on my dining room table and on a little table in my bathroom. I can "see" putting a few of these around the rubber stamps to brighten up the display...Yours look great where you have them!

  4. That is a precious idea. I'm going over
    to check out your friend's blog. Hope
    you have a wonderful Sunday.

  5. Who knew? Yet another way to decorate. God bless you both today and on your trip.

  6. You know, I never would have guessed that they were stamps Rebecca! What a great idea. Love Di ♥

  7. The stamps are lovely and look right at home there on the shelf with your collection, Rebecca!

  8. I love the simple yet elegant look of your cabinet and dishes. I would never have thought of using stamps, but they are the perfect touch!
    Love the emphasis on gratitude!

  9. I just started collecting the white pitchers. Your collection is amazing and so perfect to show up the stamps. I'm getting my stamps out right now! I'm thanking God with a grateful heart for the blessing your blog has been to me.

  10. I've left a comment here this morning. I don't know what happened to it. Anyway I said that I would have never noticed that those were stamps had you not said so Rebecca. They do make a great decoration.
    Love Di ♥

  11. This looks so pretty amidst all those gorgeous white teapots :)

  12. Great idea!.....and I thank you for sharing the idea with us!!!!

  13. Rebecca,

    I am in NC and have a little time to read some blogs. It is fun to catch up on you and your time with grandkids. You are most likely still dealing with a bit of withdrawal. It always takes me three days until I stop thinking about the kids all day--what they ate for breakfast, what they are wearing, sweet voices, songs, reminders. It gradually fades a bit after a week and I get used to life without them but still the memories are so sweet. They are some of your Thanksgiving blessings--reasons to give thanks with a grateful heart.
