The "Secret Meeting"

This was it! Donna's (of Donna's Booknook) husband, Lynn, arranged a surprise gathering after their family dinner celebrating her birthday last night. We were privileged to be invited. Lynn and Donna have extended their circle of friendship to include us, and we are blessed.

A sweet evening of conversation and fellowship culminated in birthday cake and Brown Cow ice cream.

AFter you mentioned it, we were hoping to get an invitation . . . I am proud of Lynn for the surprise! He is a good hubby for Donna. I am sure that Donna feels celebrated.

Brenda, I know for a FACT that Lynn wanted to ask you but respected your time and wanted you guys to get a good night of rest, etc. and not be up late and traveling, etc. It would have been good to see you, but I totally understand his thought process.

Happy Birthday to Donna! So glad you had an enjoyable celebration!

I came here via Diana's blog (I first had to 'google' her and then I found your blog on her sidebar). I read back on some of the posts I've missed, I loved your 'rearranging' and I loved the grandchildren too! And, my goodness, you've been busy!

I'm still having blog problems but I'm trying to work around them.

Di, If I were REALLY thoughtful, I wouldn't have mentioned a secret meeting before the fact. Fortunately, Donna didn't read this post or she probably would have "put two and two together"!

Hi, I just looked back and am happy that I saw your response. I agree! Lynn was totally thinking of us and our schedule. He was being very thoughtful. You captured some very nice photos of Donna. Your friendship blesses Donna and me.
