In a few hours, I'll be in Sunday School and later in our worship service. I'm expecting to be rearranged a bit myself! The more I SEE my Lord Jesus, the more I want to be LIKE Him.
"Put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and...be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and...put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness." (Ephesians 4:22-24)
We'll be heading back to the House Walk after church (the rain cut our tour short yesterday). I imagine I'll get some more ideas to incorporate into our own home. This is one of my all-time favorite things to do! I'm blessed to have a husband with whom to tour. He also is the person who helps me rearrange things when we get home!
What a neat idea and it will be a great study place! You always amaze me at what you can do with ideas, thrift items and such.
ReplyDeleteDonna, it lets a little more light into the room, too. (We should have put another window into the room when we extended it...but we didn't!) The big chair that used to sit in front of it blocked some of the light.
ReplyDeleteVery cute Rebecca.I agree with Donna about being amazed at what you can do with thrift store items and all of your creative idea and I could stand to be re-arranged this Sunday morning myself. :)
ReplyDeleteDee, I marvel at the talents of others to decorate. That's one reason I enjoy the house walks so much. Now, picture ourselves at the Hands of the Ultra-Decorator! I LONG to be His workmanship. I AM His workmanship! If I could only get a handle on this and rest myself in the fact!!! It's almost too BIG to comprehend for this little brain.
ReplyDeleteTo be able to "see" beyond our four walls into the beauty of God's creation brings a new depth and wonder to our pondering.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea.

Very inviting...I could see myself just staring out that window and getting lost in each season. I love those home tours too, so many creative people out there.
ReplyDeleteBut...like you have said so beautifully, God is the master creator, and his "rearranging" of us, when we allow it, it always beautiful!!
ps
love your new blog layout!!
The little area looks very inviting Rebecca. I too have been in the rearranging mood! We shall see what happens!
ReplyDeleteLove and Blessed Sunday to you, Di ♥
That is such a cozy little nook you've created Rebecca! I just get inspired by the thought of our surroundings and ourselves being "rearranged" and recreated in fresh, lovely new ways.
ReplyDeleteOh, I had a place like that in our last house, a cute bungalow, and I had a birdfeeder which you definitely need. I really miss that.
ReplyDeleteRebecca,
ReplyDeleteThis looks beautiful, cozy, restful, sweet . . . more. I love it.
It never ceases to amaze me how limitless are life-stories. There is something in the "everyday", or the "common" that can lift us to higher heights, or take us into deeper truths.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were listening ... This is a clever outcome.
Blessings,
Kathleen
Very nice new arrangement. Cute idea!
ReplyDeleteI love the view out your window, Rebecca. It's a very nice place to sit and just ponder!
ReplyDeleteOOOOO!!! I like this a LOT!!! it looks great!
