Splendor in the Afternoon

Sunday afternoon in the park was followed by dipped ice cream cones (which melted quickly in the hot summer afternoon - and were quickly placed into convenient cups)! Enthusiasm for baths ran low, so we filled one of the old-fashioned tubs with water and took "un-baths". Red and blue colored tabs were added to make the water "pretty".

  1. Adorable!
    Really beautiful children!
Are they happy all the time? They look it!
How are they staying with you, do they get homesick at all?
Looks like everyone is having a lot of fun! Enjoy!

  2. Oh Rebecca those two are just to precious! And while I don't usually have trouble getting Sarah to bathe when she's here, I love the un-bath idea! I may have to use that one on Jack when he's a little older!

  3. Eileen, they ARE generally happy. So far, no homesickness....We keep too busy :) We'll probably send them home Wednesday morning. It IS fun.

And, yes, Diana - give it a try. It might work for the "bath-shy". These two usually aren't negative about baths - but for some reason, they weren't so willing yesterday....
