Sane, Simple, Sacred: All Together

All Together

For a couple of days, we were--

All Together.

As one family was leaving,

someone had the idea that we ought to take a family photo!

(Wish we'd thought of this in advance so as to clean up/dress up, etc.)

Hastily we gathered, handed a phone to a relative, and this is the result.

Of the four of us siblings,

our family was the one 100% present.

Wonder when that will happen again?!?

What a wonderful picture, the entire family, gathered in one group, it is a rarity.
My husband's large family had a portrait picture taken, immediate siblings and parents only, fifteen people in all. Never to be again, several scattered to distant shores, and sadly two of them passed away. When I was home in England many years ago, I tried to get all of the women in my family together for a family picture, great-grandma, grandma, mother, granddaughter and great-granddaughter it never happened :(

THE BLOGGER'S PRAYER Lord, help me to learn to spell without spellcheck, manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly - all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house and take care of my family. Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life. And help me, dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.
