Takeaways

It's been awhile since I read a novel as good as I judge this one to be!
A historical novel in sense of time, setting, and some actual personnel,
it certainly held my interest.
Here are a few "takeaways":
"Love more. Not Less.
"Then let us be among those who hope that the future will be less cruel than the past."
"My tears  brought me back to life."
And
"Old women are the fiercest of all."

What's the latest best novel YOU'VE read lately?

  3. I try to support the best Christian authors, and Sibella Giorello is brilliant! She's been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize twice as a journalist, and has an incredibly good series about an FBI agent who is also a geologist. Her characters are finely layered, quirky and compelling, and the latest book in her series is a fascinating take on the D.B. Cooper mystery. Also, True to You by Becky Wade is one of the best fiction books I've ever read -- full of laughter, tears, hope, and an unexpected twist. Those books receive the highest recommendation I can give; I would buy them as gifts for every fiction reader if I could!

  5. I’ve been reading ‘light’ fiction by a British author named D.E. Stevenson. Enjoyable.

    1. I've read a few of Stevenson's. (Isn't it "funny" how sometimes a person is just in the right mood/place for a book to be pleasurable?)

  6. Hi Rebecca, Have you read Confessions of X by Suzanne Wolfe? I enjoyed it. It's the perceived story of St Augustine's concubine.. Love popping in when I can as life and blogging hasn't coincided for me lately. Happy Easter. Lucy Martin.
