...in some ways, a holy night.
Friends gathered in this warm and welcoming home
to sing, share, and eat.
The words of one of the carols ESPECIALLY stood out to me this evening:
♪ The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger,
In all our trials born to be our Friend!
He knows our need—to our weakness is no stranger.
Behold your King; before Him lowly bend! ♪
In all our trials born to be our Friend!
He knows our need—to our weakness is no stranger.
Behold your King; before Him lowly bend! ♪
Those middle two lines!
Ah. Those middle two lines...
This ornament - crafted by our Sunday School teacher and given to each of us Sunday morning. |
What a sweet time you all had together. Those are two great lines to that song.
ReplyDeleteLove the ornament ~ Happy Christmas week and day, dear Rebecca ~ FlowerLady
Yes, AREN'T they (those two lines....)!
DeleteThe ornament is very special. It's our first year in this group - but apparently those who have been in it for a long time have enough of his hand-made ornaments to decorate a small tree!
I wish YOU a joy filled week and Christmas Day as well, Lorraine. ♥
Yes! The lyrics to Christmas hymns have some of the best lyrics ever!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! To me it's like the Hallelujah Chorus of Christmas :)
DeleteWhat a precious ornament. Just wanted to stop by and say "Merry CHRISTmas". HOPE your day is full of blessings.
