Project, Preparation, Purpose

 It's messy.
 It's ugly.
 It's disruptive
and inconvenient.
Progress seems slow,
and it gets expensive.
But there is a reason and purpose for it.
We are preparing a place for my father to come and live comfortably with us!
I can hardly wait for the project to be finished!

And meanwhile, I often think about Jesus' words in John 14:2-3:
My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so,
would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back and take you to be with me
that you also may be where I am.
Jesus, too, has a "project"!  He's "preparing a place for me"!
His purpose is that one day I can be where He is.
I can hardly wait.

  1. Can you imagine, being in a room/mansion that Jesus has prepared just for each of us? It will be gloriously beautiful! More wonderful than we can even imagine.

Your space for your Dad will be wonderful for him.

Have a lovely week ~ FlowerLady

    1. No, it's really difficult for me to imagine! When I think how we're doing a few things to accommodate him and make it "work" for Dad, I've had to wonder just how Jesus is preparing something for ME!?!?!?!

Thrilling to think of the Lord preparing a place for each of us!

  3. I know this mess, but you will so love it when finished. How nice of you to alter your life so you can bring your father into your most intimate life circle. You are a good daughter for sure.

  4. Before finishing a work the area will look so untidy. Once it gets over we will love the area and will feel surprised to see:)

  5. I have no doubt it will be just as you imagined it will be. The purpose is noble, and you are honoring your father to be preparing a place for him. What a blessing it is to have visited your blog place this afternoon... Much love, Lidia
