You Just Never Know

Oh, my!
You just never know...
To find my name listed on the same page with Jan Karon, Gladys Tabor,
Susan Branch and C.S. Lewis is quite startling!
Dear Pamela of A Sheltering Tree passed on this photo of the
"flyleaf of a small blue leather journal belonging to (her) mother".
Believe me, I'm going to check out the Outlander Series....
AND be more mindful about my words--written and spoken.
You just never know where they might be heard or read!

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths,
but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion,
that it may give grace to those who hear.  (Ephesians 4:29)

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.  (Psalm 19:14)

  1. The Great and the small...sometimes we don't see which is which! ;-)

Or...you're all Great on that page, which is probably more like it.

  3. Ah...came to see you and what do I find? Treasures far more precious than Waterford crystal and tea sets are the boxes of journals and tablets from my mother. I was given them all and scan what I think my brother and sister would enjoy. Yellowed love letters from my father, ideas for her paintings, quotes written on any scrap of paper she had nearby...They have been a comfort. And I've found a lot of writing fodder!

    1. Treasures indeed. She painted, too?
Quotes written on scraps of paper will be some of the "treasures" my children may have from me. I hope they inspire/comfort/bless them.....
May God continue to bless & encourage your sweet heart, Pamela.

  4. What a cozy couple of pages of notes from somebody that likes to keep track of things on paper. I'm glad you were named among the interesting, for it is fitting.

    1. The most "fitting" thing about it is how it resembles some of my "cozy" pages of notes...recorded in SO many places! Except for the handwriting, this could have been from one of my spiral (or not so spiral) notebooks!
