Be "Possible"!

Mother and me
I really don't know how much longer she'll be with us.
Meanwhile, I'm very much aware of how many of my waking hours
are spent thinking of, being with, and loving her.
Last week, I sat in the chair beside her recliner while she slept.
She opened her eyes briefly and said groggily,
"He said we should be always be possible."
Then her eyes closed and she was asleep again.
"He" was my 88 year old father.
He frequently encourages her (and himself) to stay positive.
I'm sure that's what she was trying to say.
***
I think POSSIBLE will be my word for 2015.
It will remind me that ALL things are possible with God.
At the same time it will prompt me to
Be Positive--something that I really need to work on
AND something that is easier when I remember that nothing is impossible with GOD.

  1. Your beautiful post brought tears to my eyes and it hit home, as I too have a mother who was 85 Dec. 27th. Although she's doing well, I don't know for how long God Jesus Christ will have her next to me...for that matter, I don't know about me either, lol!
Many blessings from the Lord to you and yours sweet lady...that's what I you for 2015.

  5. Great bit of truth from Mom to daughter. That was wonderful!

May 2015 be a year of 'knowing' that with God all things are possible. He is with us through each and every day, through losses, through good times. As believers in Him, we know that our loved ones are immediately with Him when they leave this life. Angels escort them to Him. All is well with them, all will be well with us. Jesus is our strength.

May you feel God's love, peace and strength flowing through and surrounding you dear Rebecca. I love that photo of you and your Mom. It is precious, as is this post.

    1. What comfort your words are to me, Lorraine. They come from a soul who has experienced the "knowing" and are firmly based in the truth of God's Word. That's enough for me. ♥

  6. What a beautiful picture of Mother and daughter. What an awesome word to focus on in the already upon us New Year! I plan to journal my word (ponder) to keep track of how God speaks to me as I ponder His Word!

    1. "Ponder" is a good one! I couldn't help but think about one of the (many) verses of Praise to the Lord, The Almighty - ♪ "Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee;
Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee.
PONDER ANEW what the Almighty can do,
If with His love He befriend thee." ♪

  8. I like the word Possible. Reminds me of the song, "Nothing is impossible when you put your trust in God...Then put your trust in God alone and rest upon His Word; For ev'rything, O, ev'rything, yes ev'rything is possible with God."

    1. Yes! I remember that song! I'm looking for another one that I vaguely remember but have been unable to locate to get the words right......something like "with God everything is possible. It's impossible to be impossible." Wonder if anyone remembers it with me????
