A New Thing

Though I've flown in large airliners,
I've never flown in a small plane like this until our vacation last week.
I'm contemplating this "new thing" as I climb aboard....
I enjoyed the view and was relatively at ease
given the fact that my nephew was the pilot,
experienced and capable.
I'm in good company with this "new thing"!
“Forget the former things;  do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!"
(God, in Isaiah 43:9)
He is at the controls!
I wonder what new things still lie ahead for me?
THIS one, I know....
A new heaven AND a new earth!
He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”
(Revelation 21:1,5)
In spite of many uncertainties, I'm looking forward to the future,
buoyed by the knowledge of Whose hands it is in
and what He has promised.
I don't want to miss anything He has planned for me!

  2. I don't want to miss a single thing He has planned for me either! What fantastic views of His creation! I have flown in some of the big ones, but, I don't know if I'd like to ride in a small plane. Guess I'm chicken. My hubby, now, he just loves it!

    1. I love all of it (the bracelet is a little large. I need to look at it more carefully. I may be able to make it smaller :)

  4. Wow, sweet lady! I've never flown in a small plane, but love to! I love airplanes, I have no problem flying, as there are a couple of people that hate it!! Wonderful view from up there too! Thank you for your kind comments and I'm sorry I've taken long answering you, but the little ones are leaving today and I'm a little..snif, snif..Enjoy your weekend.

  5. If you want I can try to tell you how to shorten your bracelet. I made it a standard 8". I also have a small wrist, taking a 6 1/2". You are just so much smaller in person than I had imagined.

  6. Hi Rebecca,

I tried to leave a comment but it didn't go through. Hope this one does :)

Just wanted to say I enjoyed reading your words and viewing the photos! I love seeing a heart that is willing to do new things in God as He leads! I am in a few "new things" of my own and the "ease" you speak of comes in knowing that God is in control and in the drivers seat! :)

Blessings to you and your family! Keep going forward in God!
