For I am yearning to see you, that I may impart and share with you some spiritual gift to strengthen and establish you; That is, that we may be mutually strengthened and encouraged and comforted by each other’s faith,
both yours and mine. (Romans 1:11-12)
both yours and mine. (Romans 1:11-12)
I memorized these verses years and years ago as a teen
when participating in Bible Quizzing through our church.
I think I know a little of what Paul was feeling as I anticipated meeting Sandy!
While on vacation, I arranged to meet this beautiful lady whom
I have grown to love and appreciate through her blog.
Her heart for Jesus is clearly communicated there.
I KNEW it was her when she walked into the Black Forest Restaurant in her hometown.
My husband and brother shared a meal with us,
and my husband documented our meeting by taking these informal pictures.
(Thanks, Hon!)
I know that I was strengthened and encouraged and comforted by Sandy's faith!
I'm SO thankful for the privilege of a face-to-face meeting
with a fellow blogger. My only regret is that our time together was so short.
Sandy shares her faith at Faith, Hope and Love.
I hope you'll pay her a visit soon.
Tears are rolling down my eyes...what a blessing! What a great God we serve...and I know you both were so encouraged by your visit. How wonderful to meet this side of heaven! This is great!!!
ReplyDeleteWe talked about YOU, Janette - and agreed that you have been a blessing to both of us...
DeleteEnjoyed the pictures and seeing you have a great time. Thanks for the Bible verse as it is something I need to hang on to.
ReplyDeleteWow, how wonderful is that!?!? What a joyous meeting it must have been. If I don't meet either of you here at this time in eternity, then I certainly will when we are all united with Jesus.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were able to meet and visit.
Love and hugs ~ FlowerLady
We talked about YOU, too, Lorraine! And yes, we WILL be together one day - "here, there and in the air," as I sometimes say :)
DeleteIt was really wonderful to meet you, Rebecca! I felt as if we had known each other forever! Your husband and brother were so kind and I appreciate your brother treating me to such a delicious lunch. Sharing that yummy dessert with you was such fun, too. I hope we can make a date to see each other every time you visit your dear brother.
ReplyDeleteLove you~
My only regret was that we didn't pray together (having thanked Jesus for our meal before you came.....). Next time, my friend. Next time!
DeleteHi Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteOh what a wonderful pleasure that was for you to get to meet Sandy face to face.
I have not been to her blog before, so will sure have to go over and meet her.
tho your time was short there, we will have all of eternity to visit with one another
when we get to Heaven, isn't that so wonderful to think about................
Sounds like you have really been having a lot of fun lately. Good for you!
blessings, Nellie
I wish I could meet all my blogger friends face to face. I am always curious what every one's voice sounds like. And do we talk like we blog :)
ReplyDelete"Do we talk like we blog?" Now THAT is an interesting question, Dee :)
DeleteI know this was a blessing indeed... for each of you. =)
ReplyDeleteI have loved meeting my blogging friends! So excited you got to meet one of yours!
