There really ARE some things better than blogging!
My husband is OBVIOUSLY one of them...
and here he is sitting at a table at Barnes and Noble.
(He would tell you that a large caramel frappuccino is better than blogging.)
A few hours at the bookstore
with some of my favorite magazines
IS better than blogging to me.
From them, I get ideas to incorporate into our yard and garden--
like these paths wandering on the pages above.
A comfortable blue chair and bookcases filled with books to read
are better than blogging (I think)...
...and I came home with an idea for storing various scrubbers and scratchers, sink-side.
Holding an actual page containing the photo of the leather couch
was better than viewing it on my laptop screen, and
I even came home with an idea of a place to visit on our upcoming vacation (below)!
Speaking of vacation--that's ANOTHER thing that's better than blogging.
What are some things that are better than blogging to YOU?
God.
ReplyDeleteMy son.
The feel of paper as in books, letter and magazines.
Yes!
DeleteHmm, traveling, reading, nature, thrift shopping, eating (unfortunately!!:), family...many things and yet blogging is pretty nice too and luckily can provide a good place to discuss all these other interests. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, Colleen! I'd be a little lost (at least temporarily) w/o blogging.
DeleteTraveling is better than blogging! My family, caring for my home.
ReplyDeleteI do love blogging though, it can be a real place of challenge and inspiration.

Hi Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteI am with you on that..........altho I do love blogging.........but like you say hubby, children and now grandbaby are definitely better than blogging, and like you
I would much rather hold a magazine, read a book, or hold a picture of my loved ones in my hand, rather than see it on a screen. Decorating for me is more fun, as it is like fun therapy for me.......also spending one on one time with a loved one or friend is a rocket to the moon for me!!
Looks like you had a fun time at Barnes and Nobles.........I just love to sit with a cup of coffee or tea, put my feet up and look at a good decorating magazine, such fun...........better than blogging............lol
Have a great weekend,
Love and Blessings,
Nellie
I too enjoy written words on pages that I can touch, spending time alone with the Lord, and of course family is next. I have been taking some time away from my blog, to finish projects around the house and garden, and to try and regroup. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sue
I would have to concur with your DH that a Caramel Frappuccino is right up there on my List too of things that rival Blogging! *LOL* Thankfully though I spend more time Blogging than drinking them since Blogging has no Calories! *winks* Thanks for stopping by for a Blog Visit and Rejoicing with us in the Small Victories.
ReplyDeleteBlessings from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian
A good book in my hands and a quiet house . . . better than blogging, at least for now! Throw in a Starbucks, and life is pretty darn near perfect.
ReplyDeletePraying you are well, friend.
peace~elaine
I AM well, Elaine (thanks for your prayers and sweet thought)...and yes to a good book & quiet house! Starbucks would be frosting on "the cake"!
DeleteI haven't had a vacation in years............so I would agree that a vacation is better than blogging, for now I will take second best
ReplyDeleteCreating is better than blogging....but being encouraged through blogs allows me to create also
Hugs from my son...better than blogging...meeting my new grandson, better than blogging...time with hubby, better than blogging
All great BTBs, Janette, I would agree!
DeleteThe first thing that comes to my mind is spending time with our 3 GRAND's!!! Much, much better than blogging!!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteWell, for starters a visit to Barnes and Noble sounds better than blogging.
My daughter will be visiting us (also from Indiana) in April, and spending time with her will be better than blogging!
~God bless~
Lisa
Church....friends...Frank and family
ReplyDeleteI would definitely count being with my RB. You know how I feel about Barnes and Noble. We will have to meet at one someday. Journaling, I love. Reading, too. (Have you seen Miss Mustard Seed's new book, Inspired You?)Friends and family would be on my list.
ReplyDeleteWe were in Houston a couple weeks ago and we passed by a book store that I KNOW has coffee........and I thought about you! How fun it would be there to meet and look at magazines and sip on our favorite brew. I'll come to your place in October....you come to mine in March.
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me - October! And how nice to be thought of :)
DeleteI'll think of YOU when the zinnias start to bloom!
