A Magnificent and Apparent Obsession

One of my "apparent obsessions"
While writing about my "apparent obsession" at my other blog, the words of this song just kept going through my mind until I looked them up to get them right!  "One Pure and Holy Passion".  (I wonder if anyone else remembers it?)

Give me one pure and holy passion
Give me one magnificent obsession
Give me one glorious ambition for my life
To know and follow hard after You

To know and follow hard after you
To grow as your disciple in your truth
This world is empty, pale, and poor
Compared to knowing you, my Lord
Lead me on and I will run after you
Lead me on and I will run after you

How true it is!  This world IS empty, pale and poor compared to knowing Him. My prayer is that this "magnificent obsession" becomes more and more my APPARENT obsession!  Apparent to everyone with whom my life intersects.

OK. It really IS worth listening to.....but I don't know how to download it
here.  If you  click on this LINK, it's the first of the three options.

Lead me on and I will run after you!

  2. That's a hymn that I don't think I've heard Rebecca. Maybe if I heard the music. The Lord is and should be an Apparent Obsession! Sometimes I tend to forget that.
You have a lot of puzzles!! Love Di ♥
