The Week that Was

Viewing sunrises
 Watching the courage and determination of a precious friend...
Road-tripping and eating my lunch here while
embracing memories of days-gone-by (Winona Lake)...
 Applauding & appreciating the restoration work of my talented husband...
 Playing (and losing) a favorite game - Upwords...
 Celebrating the birthday (from afar) of one of our granddaughters....
 Taking in the colors--everywhere, the colors...
and so much more.
Lunch with Sue;
Bible study and lunch with Jannette, Christine, Ami, Joyce,
Donna, Liz, Marilyn and Martina;
making a favorite autumn dessert;
preparing to host our Home Connection tonight;
several long-distant communications with our adult children;
(WHAT DO YOU CALL ADULT CHILDREN WHEN REFERRING TO THEM???)
and praying.  Always praying.
All this (and then some) plus the "normal" responsibilities and chores
comprised The Week that Was for me.

  2. Sounds like a week that was rich with blessings, both big and small!
    (I don't have a clever name for "adult children" either.) :)

    1. Well, "bust" is a word, too. With at least 2 meanings. After a busy week, I DO feel busted.....

  7. Love the view from the week that was...

    You crammed a lot of color into your days, friend. Color makes our lives unique, interesting, and wonderfully edenic. Keep looking for God's fingerprints in the week to come.

  8. What an interesting week! You always remind me to take pleasure in the moments in my day. The first picture is amazing. Just as you enjoyed the colors of your week, God enjoyed the painting of them!

  12. You're FAR from a "bad penny", Nellie! It's always a delight to visit with you. It WAS a wonderful week. (As is this one, too!) They've kind of cultivated a "wild" look along the lake. It was obviously intentional -- and I liked it...

    I'm still struggling with the "kids"/"children" designation. I think it's more a state of mind thing for me, I guess.
