New Life for Old

Inspired by Linda's art,
I went out and bought a few cans of spray paint in a vibrant color.
Satin finish, per Linda.
I don't have a "before" photo of the candle holders,
but I'm pretty sure there would be one of the mirror in my garden blog.
Somewhere.
At any rate, today we primed - then painted -
four pieces--old, weathered, rusted pieces!
This one might be my favorite!
Formerly black, rusted, and VERY heavy....
the paint has made its special features stand out beautifully!
I'm very excited to think about the FUTURE
for those of us who have become new creations
and serve Him faithfully in THIS life!

And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.”
And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”  (Revelation 21:5)
Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens,
and those who lead many to righteousness,
like the stars for ever and ever.  (Daniel 12:3)

  2. Beautiful analogy!

You know me, I usually love the old, the worn, and the rusted, but these projects of yours look beautiful! And that is one of my favorite colors, and I love the satin finish!

I have a wooden bench and wooden chair that sit out on my front porch and they are getting very worn looking, I'm having a debate with myself whether or not to paint them pure white, or leave the chippy, worn wood look.

Enjoy the fruits of your labor!
    Love and Prayers,
    Eileen

  3. So busy you are in the Midwestern heat! Your favorite piece is mine as well. Lovely work on it. What do you think it was used for originally?

    1. I really don't know, Bookie. I'm not sure what kind of top to put on it either. A piece of marble or glass? Might have been a plant stand? It is heavy, that I DO know....

  10. GREAT color, beautiful results. If I had a can of that color blue....I'd end up painting the sidewalks and fence and maybe the truck.

  14. The candlesticks are gorgeous, you were right in copying that color from Linda..."the best kind of flattery is copying something you like from someone. I love the shelf too and yes, the turquoise is a lovely color, it evokes summer and the sea. Thank you lovely lady for your sweet visit, you are so generous with your comments that you always make my day! Many blessings and a happy Sunday.
