You've Got Mail

I woke up early this morning -- before my friends.
We were spending a couple of days at a friend's lake cottage.
I turned on the coffee pot and quietly left the cottage
for a walk around the lake.
I snapped pictures along the way.
Here are a few of the unique mailboxes I found.
When I returned to our home this afternoon,
my husband said,
"You've got mail!"
Indeed I did--
this wonderful bookmark created by Debbie
enclosed in the lovely note card she must have purchased from Cindy!
Double blessed, I am!
Don't you LOVE to get REAL mail?!?

  7. I DO love to get real mail, I am sometimes a bit sad that most people don't send it anymore!:) There is something really exciting about finding a surprise waiting in the mailbox. Those are some wonderful mailboxes as well...makes me think our plain dark green one is a bit boring.;) Hope you are having a wonderful summer Rebecca!:)

  12. Absolutely positively! there is nothing like it. I have always been a writer,
I used to have oodles of pen pals when I was a kid, so now I consider blogging
friends to be electronic pen pals. But it is an even bigger thrill than it used to be to get real mail in your box, that isn't bills or flyers, of course,
cause now it is so rare.................

All those mailboxes were so cute..........
thanks for taking those pics so we could enjoy them too.
    Blessings hon, Nellie
