Saturday Miscellany

...my updated chalkboard

  • Leave it to Judy to come up with a solution to group pictures!  Her comment following my last post had me laughing out loud!  "My son makes us all up into little Lego figures, groups us together, and takes a picture of us. It's better that way."
  • The sunrises and sunsets have been extremely beautiful here the last several days!  God is declaring His glory BIG time!  No one is without excuse.
  • I'm reading an OLD book.  I think they had to dig deep in the Allen County Public Library archives to find it--but I'm glad they did!  Rachel Peden's Rural Free:  A Farmwife's Almanac of Country Living.  Very much on the order of Gladys Taber's Stillmeadow writings.
  • Christmas is still alive and well on Pinterest.
  • Found out Thursday that our eleventh grandchild (currently in utero) will be needing a boy's name!
  • I've joined an on-line group for accountability in memorizing a different Bible verse every two weeks.  Mine THIS week is Colossians 3:12:  "Therefore, God's chosen ones, holy and loved, put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience."
  • I don't like the way the bullets hug the left margin here, but I don't know what to do about it.

    1. Oh another grandchild..that is just awesome! The lego thing...I can relate to that...Benjamin has legos all over the floor and got more for his 6th birthday yesterday.

Yes Pinterest...Christmas is still alive...and what ideas you can find on there...I heard Stumble Upon is even bigger...don't know if I can figure that one out.

      Have a great weekend.

    2. Gotta get me some Legos :)

I just love random thoughts. They go so hand-in-hand with most of my days. I even get very intentional about them sometimes. Some people multi-task; I multi-think.

      Blessings & joy,
      Kathleen

    3. I hope this year is the year for success in losing the weight you want to lose. You have such a blessed life it seems that it is easy to rest in God's care and forget we have to do our part for getting our health in order. Be well.

    4. I am wondering if God gave you more than 24 hours per day. Probably not. I think I need to take lessons in accomplishing things efficiently from you! You do well! Blessings on this new year.

    6. Congratulations on your new grandchild! How very exciting! Two of my closest friends just became grandmothers for the first time. I can hardly wait to hold the babies.
I am really enjoying Pinterest. As a person who always loved making scrapbooks and keeping lists, this is right up my alley. You should start a few boards, Rebecca. I'd love to follow you as we seem to have similar tastes in things.
Have a lovely rest of the weekend!
