I Took the Time...

...to experiment.  I uploaded a photo of one of my favorite flowers from our garden and used it for my blog background - choosing to "tile it".  I spent quite a bit of time exploring all the possibilities available in the "advanced" field of the template customizer in Blogger.  This is the result.  It's a little busy, but now that I know what can be done, I look forward to frequent changes!.

Today I also took the time to pick up some free peaches a friend offered me.  I don't have a lot of freezer space, so I sliced some for our lunch and froze enough to make peach smoothies for our evening snack tonight.

I took the time to pray for a few specific situations that arose--especially for friends facing difficult circumstances and choices.

The day has passed pleasantly for me.  Our weather is near perfect.  I'm enjoying the solitude of the early evening waiting for my husband to return from a meeting.  I'm glad I've HAD time to TAKE the time...

  2. Abslutely stunning! Guess I should play around with the template designer some ~ I'm always afraid I will wipe everything out! Now to find the perfect photo!
I'm thinking all the time you took for these things was well worth it!

  3. It was a beautiful evening here last night too. I like the look of your blog very much Rebecca. I wish that I had the nerve to experiment but I'm just so afraid of messing something up!!
Besides Ginny knows how to do it all. The bad thing is that she is busy and isn't always in the mood as much as I am! Anyway, I really like this, the colors are beautiful!

  4. Look at this, wonderful...it took me so long to do mine that I think once a year is about all I can handle...and it still makes me nervous...this is great.

Enjoy those peaches, and your perfect weather...we are still over the 100's, hitting past straight day records of heat and drought....over 40 straight 100 plus....

  7. I like your new background...very artistic! I liked the old one too! Isn't it fun to play around with photos on a computer. It's a whole world of visual arts that our mothers would never have imagined. Taking time is good. It's a gift.
