During a break from watching golf (the Phoenix Open), my husband climbed out an upstairs window to shovel some snow off the flat roof that covers our living room addition.
Yesterday I heard the potential weight of snow on a roof and became a bit fearful about a cave-in! I had been out earlier in a serious snowfall--talking "white-outs" here! Had I realized how dangerous it was, I wouldn't have set out in the first place. We probably got another 4"-5" of snow today--and it was the wet, heavy kind. I'll sleep better tonight knowing it's off the flat roof.
Seeing a good price on International Coffees at Big Lots last week, I'd stocked up (but forgotten)! My husband suggested a cup this afternoon. We both enjoyed it. Now I think I'm going to find a caramel topping recipe that doesn't require white corn syrup. If I can find it, we're going to make some snow ice-cream! (I know I'm out of cocoa--thus no hot fudge....)
I DID finish the card sorting project (see previous post), and this afternoon I've been reading a most fascinating book by Pat Conroy, My Reading Life. I hope to finish it this evening. 'Twill be a good ending to a splendid, snow-filled Saturday.
