This is what I did today!
You can read a more about the labyrinth here at the Victory Noll Center website. As I walked, I repeated the verse engraved on the plaque above. The Center, located about 45 miles from our home, is currently opening its facilities at no cost on Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. After walking the grounds and the labyrinth, my husband and I enjoyed a cup of coffee and some time in the soothing atmosphere of the library. We hope to return next Thursday.
Do YOU have a favorite place to visit for reflection and refreshment?
Walking in the woods alone is a favorite for me or sitting in the wooden swing, in the field, watching the clouds, it's one of the last things I did with my mother.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place!!! Wish I had a special place like that!!! Will have to investigate our area more!! Thanks for encouraging me!!! Love you! Janine XO
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great time you had , the labyrinth is beautiful. I have a favorite place where I go and meditate, and that is by the pond near the house. When I exercise I treat myself to this every time. I am so thankful to have such a peaceful place to go, sit and meditate.
Thank you for coming by and for always leaving me such encouraging words.
Hugs,
Sue
I started my training on Thursday for the Cancer 3 Day in August. I walked at a new park, which is about 5 minutes from my home. I walked the perimeter path of the park. 1 round took 30 minutes, so I walked it twice. Until I get my meter that tell me how far I walked, I just have to wait and see what I accomplished the first time out.
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca, what a beautiful, peaceful place!
ReplyDeleteOne of the most peaceful places I can think of is our own backyard in the spring and summer. I love the colors of nature everywhere.
In response to your comment, I looked on the posts I commented on and I can see my comments but I am not sure if that means they are visible to others.:) Hope that you have a lovely weekend!
I love walking in the park.
ReplyDeleteSounds peaceful and wonderful!
ReplyDeleteRay and I have a few places we go to, in the summer we usually find deserted beaches, and we also hike the mountains upstate, or go to the arboretums on Long Island, and you are right, it's a great way to reflect and refresh!
Thanks for sharing and continue to enjoy!
Love to you,
Eileen
Oh my yes, that would be my back yard. It is like a little haven for us. Especially at night with the lights on.
ReplyDeleteWhat a peaceful place to visit Rebecca and a nice cuppa Joe after with the husband sounds wonderful!
