Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord!

Part of our preparation was hosting an Open House at our church last night featuring the display of our families' nativity sets.  These were a few of the forty.  Guests enjoyed cake, coffee and punch.
When God came to earth to bring salvation to all who would place their faith in Him, there was some preparation to do first!  John was the go-before person.  "I am the voice of one calling in the desert, 'Make straight the way for the Lord!'" he urged.  All of us have some preparation to do before Jesus returns!  It begins with a turning - or repentance as it is called in the Bible.  A total turning to God's point of view and alignment with His eternal truth.  Having done that personally (and daily) let us like John urge others, "Prepare the way of the Lord!" Straighten up! (To paraphrase the words of the New International Version of the Bible - John 1:23)
