"Normal" Soon

I'll be back to normal soon.  For today and tomorrow, we're at the beautiful Heritage Inn with extended family.  This beautifully decorated tree brightens the lobby.  Swimming occupies many of our hours with the grandchildren.  Then we have a large room where family gathers for food we've carried in for mealtimes and games in the evening.

Pictures are posted on my family blog.  Thursday will find me getting back to "reality" and with some reflections on the New Year.  What are YOUR New Years Eve plans?

  1. Our whole family gathers here again for seeing in the New Year...there's always confetti thrown...once almost a bushel of it! Surprisingly it cleans up easy, all except for a tiny piece or two that ends up drifting down from the brick fireplace in the spring!

    Enjoy your family Rebecca!

  4. Wanda, What a wonderful tradition. I've never been able to stay up for the confetti throw, etc. THIS year, we're hosting an open house - people were invited to come and go or come and stay. If no one stays, we'll be in bed by midnight. If people stay, we might thrown confetti!

  5. Di, Actually, that's MY kind of New Years Eve! I'm not a big party gal and actually prefer some quiet, reflective times. We'll see how it turns out this year.
