While waiting on the last of our three children to arrive with her family, the rest of us played, "Hide Baby Jesus". We used the Baby from this nativity set.
Once everyone arrived, our oldest grandson narrated the Christmas Story drama and directed the other children in presenting the story of the first Christmas.
Mary sits serenely with the Baby. Joseph, on bended knee, faces the shepherds and angels. One of the shepherds (in yellow shirt) appears to be responding to Gabriel.
One by one from youngest to oldest, the children opened their gifts.
The evening culminated in a cookie/hot-chocolate birthday party for Jesus.A Christmas video was also viewed before some of the children went to bed. Tired but full of happiness, all sixteen of us went to bed - content and thankful to be together.
What a beautiful Christmas..I love this..thank you for sharing!
