It was impossible to get everything in one picture! But these were the many, special gifts that I unwrapped after bringing the huge box home from the post office. "You'll have to bring your car back, " the postmistress said to me. (I had ridden my bike to pick up the mail yesterday.)
Here's the rest of the treasures. Notice the eco-bag in the back. I will be toting groceries home in it. I've been wanting one of these!
Note, too, the beautiful cashmere scarf! You can be sure it will show up in my wardrobe and home style blog one of these days!
Thanks, Eileen. I have come to know you as a most generous and unselfish person. The give-away only confirms it. It also confirms in a unique and wonderful way the truth of God's Word. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 9:11 & 12: "You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in mnay expressions of thanks to God."Generous people are the gracious tools of our gracious God to help extend His generous grace to the world.
Isn't it so much fun to receive an "unexpected" surprise in the mail??? You got some lovely treasures there, Rebecca and I know you will enjoy them. Our 'village' is so full of wonderful people, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Thanksgiving.
blessings and hugs,
marcy
You are the generous one! And I love coming here to get my fill of spiritual inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you realize how very Blessed I feel that God lead me here.
I remember when I first met you I was unloading all my "Why?" questions on you!
I still have my questioning ways (it's just the way I am), but I've grown more accepting and well, I've just grown. And many thanks to you for that.
When it was time for choosing the names for the give-away I said a little prayer that Jayden would choose the name God wanted this package to go to, and Jayden mixed up the names, and then he picked out YOU!
Enjoy, Rebecca!
You've been such a Blessing and I thank God for you!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Love to you,
Eileen
