I have plans for today. They include: using a Michael's 40% off coupon to purchase earring fittings, menu planning, sewing on a blouse button before retiring it for the season, walking for 30 minutes, reading 3 chapters in Three Cups of Tea, and writing a few notes to friends and family.
The sky is clear, but it is still cool. I chose to wear this warm, woolly jacket. Keeping warm is a priority with me these days (and I'm too frugal to turn on the furnace full-time just yet...).
Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money."... Instead you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live, and do this or that." (James 4:13-17)
Looks like you are having fun dressing your nice and trim body. You worked hard and look great.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice day!
ReplyDeleteAnd cute outfit! 'Love it!
Beautiful quote! I'm going to try to rise each morning with it!
All the best,
Eileen
I love this Rebecca because I never say anymore that we are going to do this or that. I always say God willing we will do this and that! I learned this lesson a while ago! Very Nice!
ReplyDeleteOh I too didn't want to turn on the furnace yet but it was 36 degrees here this morning. Yikes, I turned it on!
Your outfit was very nice Rebecca, it looks comfy, warm and stylish! I am wearing my old tee shirt, capris and fuzzy socks and slippers today. God willing I am staying in today and have begun cutting squares for Katies quilt! Have a happy Monday Rebecca!

Yes and yes! If the Lord wills, I shall keep all my "dominoes in a row" and they won't fall down... Great message this morning!
ReplyDeleteIt seems the older I get, the more I'm inclined to say..If the Lord wills.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good productive day you had planeed, and looking mighty fine at the same time!
Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteIt used to bother me when people would say perfectly reasonable [even Godly] things and then add "If the Lord wills" but I have learned that my will must be His will and true joy can only be found in seeking His will for my life. Therefore, if the Lord wills I am leaving on Wednesday for a mission trip to the Dominican Republic for ten days. My ticket is purchased and I am packing my bags so, Lord Willing, I will talk to you in a couple of weeks. God Bless Meg
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers my friend.
