...then I'm a Baby Ruth.
As I posted in my health blog, "It wasn't a good evening."
But it DID serve a purpose. I was reminded of a verse in Proverbs 23:7 that says (in some versions)
"As a man thinks in his heart, so is he."
I want to forget about how many of these small bars I ate last night and move on.
I DON'T want to forget to fill my heart - my mind - with GOOD stuff!
God says in His Word, "You ARE what you think!"
Oh, Rebecca, I like so much better "You are what you think"!
ReplyDeleteIf I am to go by "You are what you eat" then I am junk! Because my main staple is junk food!
I should be in the kitchen right now putting a pot roast into the crock pot before running out to church and here I sit visiting!
But I'm glad I did, you always have some wonderful inspiration!
All the best,
Eileen
Good Morning Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteGreat post,I feel the same!! I also enjoyed reading your previous post!
Hope your day is filled with many blessings,
Sue
That would make me an Ice Cream!
ReplyDeleteI can't help but think of the verse from scripture about how it's from the abundance of our hearts that our mouths speak. It sure helps us to understand how vital it is that we put good stuff in there in order to get good stuff out.
Blessings,
Kathleen
Bless you precious one.
ReplyDeleteOne night of eating a Baby Ruth (or Ruths) doesn't make you one Rebecca...I'm sure of that! Anyway...peanuts are healthy and it did give you moments of thought!
ReplyDeleteThanks to all of you - friends in need are friends "in deed"! Wanda, it WAS "ruths" not "ruth".
ReplyDeleteI can sooooo relate to this post:( i am a tootsie roll.
ReplyDeleteRebecca....you make me smile....my lips...and my heart. I wish I could have been there with you... You wouldn't have had to worry about eating all of the small bars...I'm sure you would have shared them...and I would have put you to shame...eating them!!! I love chocolate...and I love being here. Keep smiling, my friend.
ReplyDeleteAlways,
Jackie
Oh now I want a Baby Ruth, love them. You are so cute Rebecca, it's okay to have chocolate onece in a while......luv ya:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteRebecca, you are too cute. Are those petite-sized Baby Ruth bars? If so, you need to divide the number of bars you ate by at least 2.... LOL.
ReplyDelete"Amen" to forgetting about the small bars and remembering to fill our minds with "good" things..... especially God's Word.
I truly appreciate how you bring the Scriptures into everything you write about.
Blessings,
I think that this means that you have a sweet heart Rebecca! Love Di
ReplyDeleteThank you, Diana! (I'd sure like to THINK this is true.)
ReplyDeleteBernie, you're right. Chocolate now and then is OK. (It's just the quantity that I ate was out-of-control....)
