Granddaughters Modeling their "Sister" Clothes

The girls were quite willing to model their new outfits. They quickly filled up their purses with dolls and other treasures! For pictures of the boys and our family holiday meeting, see The Gates' Post.

  1. Those are very good looking outfits Rebecca and you can tell the girls are happy with them...very cute! BTW I wasn't thinking it through...of course you took advantage of an existing hem...I would too! The skirts fit just right and look great.

  2. I posted my comment, and forgot to verify with the word, and my comment vanished. It makes me angry with myself when I do silly things like that.
I love the poses. The girls are indeed 'striking'...and tell them that Ms. Jackie loves their outfits....the color blue that is sooo pretty on them...their braids...and even noticed that the doll gets a special place!!!
    Hugs and smiles from Jackie

  8. Aww, to cute for words! I love the color on them, they look like little models. How little gals love their purses don't they? They are perfect for carrying such necessities as dolls and jewelry.
What a treat for them and for our eyes!

  12. MARCY, I found the shirts at Walmart and didn't even have the skirts with me to make sure it was the right color! And LADY M, the older sister sits still while hair is braided. The younger on, not so much! :) SUE, I just dove in to sewing. I may never use a pattern. I had too many bad experiences as a young teen. But I put my eye and experience to work on these outfits and feel fine with them.
