Yesterday's Gone-And So Is Most of the Candy

It's all out of my system now (in more ways than one)! You can read more at Power, Love and Self-Control.
Waiting now for company. We're having pizza, a great tossed salad, and some green beans with a cheesy white sauce. After dinner, my husband and the father of the family are going to make a deer out of rebar for a garden spot. This will involve welding, so my husband is going to be learning and practicing a new skill.
Watch for the finished project in an upcoming post.

  1. Enjoy your pizza dinner and your company, it all sounds good!
I don't know, Rebecca, there still looks like a lot of Almond Joys left in that bag! Or is that just wrappers?
Coconut ~ one of my most favorites!
And lucky, lucky me, my husband found a bakery in Manhattan that sold little individual serving size cakes (German Chocolate with coconut topping!), and he stopped on his way home from work and bought me TWO!
Is he one of the best, or what?!
You got a great guy too! Good luck on the project! 'Can't wait to see it!
I'm heading over to your 'self-control' AFTER I eat the cake(s)!
    All the best,
    Eileen
PS ~ I think it's all this blogging and commenting that driving the cravings in us! How is anyone supposed to have any self-control when being battered each and every day with chocolate and coconut?!

  2. Dinner sounds yummy.

Looks as if you may have to get more rocks from the lake with your legs and feet to make up for the candy eating! This time, can we have pictures of you getting them?

Can't wait to see your deer...are you helping or supervising?

    blessings and hugs,

    marcy

  5. Hi, I can't wait to see the deer....and i am so glad i do not desire sweets anymore. I have had an ice cream craving the past few days and did endulge:(, but it has thankfully past. Now if i could just cut back on a few calories and leave food alone after 60'clock and add my morning exercise back...i may lose. :) We have not heard about the blood test yet which i feel is good. They won't call unless they have a concern. Franks heart function went from 35%-to 25% to 20i In three visits to the doctor. He will need to eliminate some physical activitiest to adjust to it. He gets reall tired and weak, and at times just talking uses to much energy...it is sad. But he has such a wonderful out look and has left all in the Lords hands. A couple of times he has been at 10% function and that is when they re-evaluate him for the computer to recieve a heart. Meanwhile he stays on agressive medications in the transplant program. I may blog about how we found out Franks needs a transplant. It is an amazing story that shows God is with us. Thank you for your prayers. Dee
