Friends of ours were replacing a split rail fence. We salvaged what we could, and last night my husband installed this corner fence around what was previously a nondescript bush in a undefined space. Now it is a thing of beauty, in my opinion.
Something beautiful, something good...
All my confusion He understood.
All I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife,
But he made something beautiful of my life.

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)
In Jesus, I have found my description and definition!
Very lovely sweetie.
ReplyDeleteRebecca, it is a lovely bush and does look better with the fence....Good job hubby! Have a wonderful day my friend.....:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteDear Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteYour husband is a great "handyman". Wow, he sure does a lot of work around the house... that's wonderful. I think it looks great. As you said, it defines the space. I wouldn't be surprised if he decides to paint it = )
I love the way you incorporate Scripture into the little everyday happenings.... Thank you for sharing.
Blessings,
Hi Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteI enlarged the photo of your bush as it looks just like one that Jake and I planted last year. The photo was a little fuzzy so I am not 100% but it looks like a Dappled Willow Bush. I am probably wrong but it sure does resemble ours. I do love that bush!
Love Di
P.S. I do like that fence!
Hello there...The fence looks so good there! It is wonderful to be blessed that way, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteYou are totally blessed to have a husband that enjoys working around the house :)

I AM blessed and I KNOW it - to have a hard-working and skilled husband. Diana, that well could be a Dappled Willow! The gentleman who gave it to us didn't know. He just wanted it removed & we liked it :)
ReplyDeleteEverything looks better with a 'home', doesn't it? Your bush looks loved and cared for, and I'm sure it is!
ReplyDeleteYou are Blessed, Rebecca, and I know that you know it too! You got one of the good ones! You look loved and cared for too! God Bless!
The bush is lovely, Rebecca. I haven't heard that old hymn in such a long time, thank you for the reminder. Something beautiful...
ReplyDeleteThe fence is just what your bush needed...very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love your blogs..I have bookmarked them and will be back often!
ReplyDeleteThe fence is so pretty. I have wanted one myself for our little lake house in northern Michigan...now I really want it! Someone needs to discard one for me!
Hi Friend, I love a pretty yard, the peole across the street have a yard to die for. My daughter and family do what they can with their busy schedule.Uunfortunately Frank and i for health reasons can not do the yard work, the good side is we have some one else to do it, the down side is we have to wait for someone to do it.The Lord has placed me in an opportunity to fight perfetionism :-) I really appreciate your comments on my doodles-i think with age-my top doodle-we do feel a little more confident in who we are in Christ, i know i do. Perhaps that is why her eyes came out that way..and yes, thats me in the profile picture not a doodle :-)
ReplyDeletefound your site when googling the something beautiful Gaither song for my sister who is in cancer recovery and today is her birthday. God bless your ministry. Amazing Grace. In Christ.
