There's a Welcome Here! (You Asked For It, Brenda)

It's a little hard to know where to put these pictures...I have no idea how they fit under the LIFE AND GODLINESS header! I guess it's "LIFE"!

And part of my life right now is "Simplification"! Wish you could all stop by and help me simplify! It was good to have Donna (who is responsible for my having a blog) stop in! We shared a cup of coffee and I gave her the short tour of our yard/garden. I SHOULD have taken a picture.

By the way, are any of you old enough to remember an old Sunday School/VBS song that said, "There's a welcome here; a welcome here. There's a Christian welcome here! Hallelujah! There's a welcome here; a welcome here. There's a Christian welcome here."???

  2. You're SO sweet! If it doesn't sell and you're serious, I'll wrap it up and send it to you for the price of postage. How's THAT? It's not in perfect condition, but I think the colors are great. It has those fold-down legs on it that make it stand about 10" off ground...

  4. Oh, I love all of your things--cannot use them because I need to simplify also but they look so cute! Yes, of course, I remember that song. You have got me singing it. It has been raining here--really raining all day! I am glad that you have had a better day. I am concerned that it will rain at our auction tomorrow--Oh, well. I need to remind myself that all things, even the rain, are for His glory.

  5. I like going to garage sales better than hosting one. I have found a few of my vintage devotionals at garage sales. It is a nice way to get outside, enjoy the sun and to meet people. I wonder if we will have stuff in heaven? I pray your sale was successful. Dee

  6. Me, too! Vintage devotionals! I'm always on the lookout for extra Streams in the Desert and My Utmost for His Highest, etc. I've made sure each of our children have copies and often offer them as gifts... (I actually don't garage sale so much as visit thrift stores -- but less and less the more I blog!)

  9. We really did miss a photo op! (Just kidding). I enjoyed seeing your garden and visiting. I'm afraid I bent your ear more than necessary. Thanks for your friendship. I do remember the song. And I love some of your things also, but have no room! Donna

  10. Don't worry about bending my ear. I may bend yours one of these days. And the reason my things were "out there" was because I have no room either. I am serious about getting rid of stuff. So, did the auction get rained out? I look forward to reading your blog to find out details (if you're telling). It was VERY nice to see you in person. Come anytime. Come often.
