After the Garage Sale

After we shut up for the evening, we went to nearby Fort Wayne and strolled the beautiful environs of the Neuhouser Nursery. If you've hung around me for very long, you know that I am a great fan of garden art, statuary, and sculpture. I can't afford the $500 plus price tags that were on a couple of the items above, but I can LOOK! My inexpensive alternatives are exhibited in Scene in our Garden.

Speaking of that "hour in the garden"....I imagine Adam and Eve could have been the originators of this statement! Certainly looking back on their famous hour, it gives ME perspective about the origins of "ugly" and God's intention for beauty.

  1. Dear Rebecca,

Garden art is an expression of the gardener. The more you mix statues with your flowers, it reflects your style.

Thank you for sharing dear friend.

  2. I love what you have done in your garden, I have been looking for a statue of the Blessed Mother, it has to be small as I don't have much room but I will continue to look. Again I thank you for sharing......God Bless, Bernie

  3. Very nice blog! I saw where you like Maeve Binchy novels as well as thrift shopping. ME TOO:) Recently I got 4 Binchy hardbacks for 25 cents each from an estate sale. Amazing, since original price was $25 each!
