I always pick up pennies.....

I really do! And a friend passed on this explanation
in an email forward that makes
picking up a penny VERY significant!

If I trust in God, the name of God is holy, even on a coin. Whenever I find a coin I see that inscription. It is written on every single United States coin, but we never seem to notice it! God drops a message right in front of me telling me to trust Him. Who am I to pass it by? When I see a coin, I pray, I stop to see if my trust IS in God at that moment. I pick the coin up as a response to God; that I do trust in Him.. For a short time, at least, I cherish it as if it were gold. I think it is God's way of starting a conversation with me. How blessed I am that God is patient and pennies are plentiful!

  1. I pick up pennies, also. At a missions conference, the children were told to "Pray for one that is sent," every time they picked up a penny or found coins. I think of that and do pray for a missionary each time I find a coin.

  2. I'm having quite the time with this blog. Figured out how to get 3 columns - but now my date on post & "Link List" etc. titles are too big!

I like that "one who is sent" prayer!

  3. Oh this is thought-provoking. My husband will always stop to pick up a coin, no matter how much it is. Now you've given me more reason to do the same.
