SERENDIPITY
- The faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident.
- The fact or occurrence of such discoveries.
- An instance of making such a discovery.
It started with a Garage Sale sign and ended up being a Garden Tour.
Linda of Landscapes by Linda was selling some of her art - GARDEN art.
I usually don't splurge like this,
but here it sits -- in one of our flower beds.
For a peek at Linda's yard and art,

You won't be sorry!
Your find is added beauty in your garden. I bought a ceramic heart, 6 inches across, the glaze is bronze, and will put that in my garden, as my serendipitous today's purchase, at a garden shop, where I went to buy plants.
ReplyDeleteis that a punch bowl on top of the pillar? I bought a pillar last year that I need to repaint...I have an armillary I've been wanting to put on top of it. I'm not sure where to put it once I get around to doing it...this is BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bowl! I suppose my most recent serendipitous event was while reading about Thomas More, discovering he is one of the three patron saints of adopted children and that his feast day is June 22 which is my son William's birthday.:) Incidentally, William is also named for St. William of Rochester who is one of the other patrons of adopted children. I just found all that very interesting! Have a most lovely day Rebecca!
ReplyDeleteYour finds are wonderful...well that is the word I needed for Benjamin and my discover...serendipity
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun
What a beautiful bird bath! Ah my serendipity was the discovery of my mother's chimes that I had missed placed. I was beginning to think they were gone for good but while rearranging upstairs, there they were!!
ReplyDeleteLove Di ♥
Glad you found them! I need to make a serendipitous discovery of a box of Shredded Wheat! That's right. A box of Shredded Wheat. I just KNOW that I had a second, big box....
DeleteOh, I love how she made this birdbath. Beautiful! Ann
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you just "missed Placed" the shredded wheat. Sorry about the grammer, and spelling, it was early!!! Love Di ♥
ReplyDeleteBeautiful garden art. Headed over to your other blog to check it out!
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how pretty your serendipity is with the sunlight on it...beautiful. My serendipity was finding some toys for the grands that I had forgotten I had. :)
ReplyDeleteDid you post them, Dee? (Oh, I'll come over and check....)
DeleteWhat a wonderful way to add drama to the simple life. Beautiful & precious.
ReplyDeleteAs for me, serendipity almost always relates to shoes :)
My most serendipitous find today was a sweet little pouty faced doll with a tear on her cheek. She was only $2.50, and although not in the box, she was complete and looked as if she had never been played with (i'm sure that was the cause of the pout and tear).
ReplyDeleteRecently my serendipitous find was friends!
ReplyDeleteSweet post! Love your beautiful garden bowl! You found treasure (and so did I)!
Love and Prayers,
Eileen
Oh, Eileen - Friends trump bird baths ANY day! I think Linda (the bird-bath crafter) just may be a new friend, and YESTERDAY I was able to spend a few hours with an "old" friend -- actually a neighbor from several years ago!
DeleteIn my quest for simplifying, I've been organizing my possessions...and oh, yes...finding serendipities! Notes from old friends, old family photos and a small pottery bowl that belong to my aunt.
ReplyDeleteFun to see things, I've passed by, snagged by someone & used fabulously in their garden.
ReplyDeleteNow, I really try to have as little as possible in my garden yet keep the impact.
Love the challenge.
Garden & Be Well, XO Tara
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca,
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful find..............beautiful bird bath to say the least, bet your birdies are gonna be hap hap happy about that.................
It looks so pretty sitting there too.
Well, you know what my last serendipitious find was........Menchies yogurt!! lol Wasn't that funny we used the same expression on the same day. lol
As you can see our computer is back up and running again, didn't take quite as long as I thought it would. We were a lil lost without it, cause you can't even check the weather or email or looks for recipes either...........let alone blog..............
The blessing is he replaced an old box on the side of the house with a new
one because it should have been replaced 15 years ago, or so he said, but what is great is our internet seems to be running faster.....Whoo hooo!
Have a good day hon,
Blessings, Nellie
Glad you're back up and running! I know....we would be lost w/o internet, too. Like you said - checking weather, recipes, hints for what kind of adhesive to use, what movies are showing, directions to get somewhere, etc. We've come to be quite dependent on it.
