Not about Christmas

I can't remember if it was free or cost only a dime or so...
but it came home with us amid a stack of books a few months ago.
I only recently picked it up and began to read.
Today I reluctantly finished it--
maybe the best book I've read in a l-o-n-g time!
In my opinion, the writing is superb.
There is humor, suspense, information, and details
written so descriptively that they were simply delicious to my mind.
Whether your interest is whetted by the period in history (1930's), Africa,
horses, flying or remarkable women,
I believe you'd find this book totally intriguing.

  2. This sounds like such a great read!
I absolutely loved your last post, and agree about how to deal with this most blessed season. Rather than shop until I dropped, I decided this year to make and bake goodies for our family, and am happy to say they were mailed yesterday! This project was so much more rewarding for me.
Thank you for sharing your perspective not only about Christmas but on so many things. You are so encouraging in so many ways.
Thank you for visiting and for your thoughtful and sweet comments.
    Blessings,
    Sue

    1. It really WAS a great read - and thank you for the affirmative words. (Sometimes I feel SO alienated from the majority of society.)
