A Beauty Break

Yesterday my father and I decided to ride along with my husband
who was making a hospital call (he is a Visitation Pastor)
So, after the hospital we stopped at the Rose Garden,
one of Fort Wayne's beautiful city parks.
The roses were past their prime, unfortunately,
 but many other flowers remained.
All in all, it was a beautiful day...
well worth taking a break in our day!

 Blue sky,
temperate weather,
health and ability to stroll and see...
for all this beauty, I am thankful
and more determined than ever to schedule even more "beauty breaks"
 into my life
and the lives of those I love.

  1. Glad you had such a lovely outing. Those kinds of things do our hearts, minds, souls and bodies much good.

    1. Yes! they DO do hearts, minds, souls and bodies much good...
Thinking of you frequently - with a prayer for your heart, mind, soul and body ♥

  2. What a lovely garden! I can just picture it with the roses in full bloom!

I agree with the need to make time for beauty in our lives! It is restorative!

    1. It really IS beautiful when the roses are in full bloom. We just let the time slip by this spring/summer.....

  3. What a blessing to have something so beautiful near you. I took a "beauty walk" on a piece of property we own yesterday....and talked to the Lord! Ahhhh....sweet peace!
