So Much More!

This morning I posted my eighth "triplet" of character traits

I want to see increasingly a part of my 67 year old life.

H - Happy/Humble/Holy

Within 30 minutes, the above meme appeared on my Facebook page.

Forget for a moment that "to" in "to short" should be "too",

but don't forget there is so much more to being happy

than being silly, fun, different and crazy!

Words of an old gospel song came to my mind:

Trust and obey,

For there's no other way

To be happy in Jesus

But to trust and obey.

Incidentally, the Bible verse I posted this morning

supported the "holy" part of the triplet--

Obey God because you are his children; don’t slip back into your old ways

—doing evil because you knew no better. But be holy now in everything you do,

just as the Lord is holy, who invited you to be his child.

(I Peter 1:14-15)

I don't "believe" in fortune cookies,

but it was pretty unusual to get this in my cookie

only about 24 hours after posting my "happy/humble/holy" triplet!

I haven't been blog visiting lately, in fact I haven't even been updating my own. Nonetheless, I am glad I stopped by. Your triplet character traits resonated with me. Happy/humble/holy - yes, there is so much more to being happy.

THE BLOGGER'S PRAYER Lord, help me to learn to spell without spellcheck, manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly - all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house and take care of my family. Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life. And help me, dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.
