Floors vacuumed, furniture dusted.
Pot of soup made and frozen into smaller portions.
Bed carried downstairs.
Suitcase packed
After our outdoor worship service and picnic this morning,
my husband and I will drive to Ohio.
We'll stay overnight at my father's place - it is near the hospital
where I'll have knee replacement surgery on Tuesday.
Doctor appointments tomorrow along with some blood typing.
By Thursday night, I expect to be back home in this bed!
This print of a painting I "found" many months ago in a thrift store
is near and dear to my heart.
"Here in our weakness you find us,
falling before Your throne.....oh, we're falling before Your throne."
(From "Wonderful, Merciful Savior")
Hoping this time will pass quickly for you and that you really enjoy the new knee!
ReplyDeletePraying and I too just love love love that print..did it ever speak to my heart...and with God's Word.♥
ReplyDeleteOh, Rebecca, my thoughts and prayers are with you...prayers for peace, comfort, rest, and rehab. I'm adding the lyrics of one of my favorites from Women of Faith.
ReplyDeleteI Rejoice
Let Your joy be my joy
Let Your strength be my strength
Come fill my heart with songs of praise
Let Your peace be my peace
Let Your ways be my ways
Lord Jesus come and fill me now
And I will praise Your name
And I will lift my voice
For Your love for me is great
I rejoice
There's no place I'd rather be
I'm with You and You're with me
For Your love for me is great
I rejoice
I am definitely keeping you in my prayers, dear precious friend.

ReplyDeleteI have seen that painting before somewhere, don't remember where but it is quite a neat painting with
a great message. Know you are leaning on His everlasting arms. Praying for you and your hubby and the Doctors and nurses taking care of you and for a very quick recovery hon.
Blessings Abundant,
Nellie
What a sweet painting! Praying for God's hand on you during surgery and a supernaturally speedy recovery.

ReplyDeleteI will be saying a prayer for you....♥
ReplyDeleteHad you on my mind this week and praying for you. Hope the pain isn't too intense and you're all healed really quickly.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deb! Pain management has worked pretty well. Will go home this afternoon (Thursday).
DeletePraying for complete and fast recovery. Today I cleaned a house for a couple, he had open heart surgery last December, to get ready to take care of her after her surgery. She had lung replacement surgery in July...........they are in their 80's and today I stood in amazement at what an awesome God we serve. His healing on these two, who left the apartment walking down a flight of stairs, to their car, for an afternoon out. May you also have the joy I saw on their faces today!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an encouragement! And if you lived closer, I'd hire you to clean MY house!
DeleteYou can do it! I know!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Diana! You are my inspiration (along with another friend in "real life" - also a Diane who also had both knees done.)
DeleteA bit scary, nervous perhaps, yet, I sense such a peace in your words. My prayers are with you and so are all the others that have enjoyed reading your words through the years. You are going to be just fine. So many of our friends from church have had this surgery and they are now doing phenomenal! And you will too :D
ReplyDeleteMaria
Prayers for a quick recovery, Rebecca.
