Anticipation

Usually our Bible study group meets in a coffee shop,
but this morning, they're bringing "the mountain to Mohammed".
My husband has been incredibly helpful in doing some basic cleaning
and moving the tables to accommodate our number.
I've arranged some of the lovely get well cards I've received
over the past almost-three weeks as centerpieces.
Coffee is measured.  A push of the button will get it going.
Coffee cake will arrive with the ladies.
And Jesus is ALREADY here.
God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."  Hebrews 13:5

(I'm not sure WHERE that mountain/Mohammed saying comes from!
Will have to do a little research.)

  1. Please pray for me as I have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and have been having a difficult time getting all the medicines right. I feel bad most of the time and have no energy. I have had to stop going to my exercise classes and cannot do much around here until we get this resolved. My heart rate a while back was 156 bpm and I was having double vision. My bp is over in the 180's over around 100. I usually wake up with a headache due to high bp but then it goes down after I take my meds which make me sick for a while. I guess I have to get used to them. I only ask believers to pray for me and I know you are one. You have a great husband and great friends. Hope the Bible Study is uplifting.

  5. I so enjoyed this post of anticipation. And I just loved how you climaxed the preparation for your gathering as you say the coffee is measured out, the cake is on its way, and Jesus is ALREADY here.

    Oh yes....lovely.

I hope you are feeling better today than yesterday, and that your time with your friends will add that layer of healing in the form of 'good medicine' laughter.

    Blessings........
