By Quiet Waters...He Restores My Soul

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul
He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
Psalm 23:1-3
It was a beautiful day for a peaceful walk.
The paved path (part of the RiverGreen Walk in Fort Wayne, IN)
stretches toward our little village.
A short drive takes us to the paved path
where we strolled today after I returned from
visiting my parents once again.
Two out-of-town siblings will be spending the next week with them,
giving my sister and I a brief respite.
The Lord IS my shepherd.
By quiet waters, he restores my soul.

  1. I'm glad you and your sister are getting a time of respite. Drink deeply of His love and peace and know you and your family remain in my thoughts and prayers.
How very pretty you look and I see your hair is getting longer.

    1. Thank you for your prayers, Sandy. (And I'm about to give up on growing out my hair. It is so fine - just doesn't hold style very well....) Tomorrow, Gary and I are going out of town to enjoy some autumn beauty. I'm looking forward to that. :)

  2. How lovely. You fit right in with the Autumn beauty! The scenes make me think of our own Fall bedazzled area. It's such a good season for being lead into green pastures.

  5. Such beautiful pictures of nature, I love nature walks so very much:) ...and those apples, there are no apple trees only citrus trees where I live. Such a peaceful blog.
Psalm 23 is something I put into my memory years ago, such comfort.
    Blessings!
