Nuggets of Truth

The extent to which you can "listen to understand" and "express to be understood"
will help determine the level of intimacy in your marriage.

This morning I struggled to do both,
but I AM determined.
Just not perfect yet.
I don't remember whom to credit with the insight,
but I'm sure it's true.
I see broader applications to relationships in general, too...
What Nugget of Truth are YOU working on currently?

  1. I am trusting God to heal me of 'regrets' for things I did or didn't do while my dear husband was here with me.

    1. I just prayed for you, Lorraine. He WILL heal you. Just don't let the adversary of your soul use even ONE regret to defeat you TODAY!

  5. We are also working, as stated above, on loving each other more and more. It's a daily process and so easy to fall into the harsh words when some days are filled with tension, etc. But, the Lord is with us, sustaining, keeping watch. We are blessed.
This picture is just great. Your love for one another is evident.
Getting those earrings out for sure. I am finishing up 100 pair for Etsy right now. :o)
    Hugs~

    1. 100 pair?!? Wow! You are amazing....
And yes, it is a daily process! I think of the verse (can't remember the reference right now) where it says "Let him/her who thinks he/she stands take heed lest he/she fall." No matter how long we've lived and loved together, selfishness still raises its ugly head in me sometimes. Keeping the "love light" burning is easier sometimes than others but is always worth it.

  6. I want to add here Rebecca, that you and your husband are an inspiration to many. I always enjoy reading about your finds, his refurbishing and building projects, and your trips.

Keep posting lessons for us all to learn and grow from.

  7. I do believe the two of you are looking younger...must be the summer outings. :) I am working on my Frank...his medications are causing him confusion and irritation more frequently. :( Sometimes communication is difficult.
