The Great Completer

If you remembered The Big Reveal  or Waiting in the Wings
 these  photos might interest you...
There's nothing so satisfying as projects completed.
In the case of the refurbished fence sections,
it seems that with their addition EVERYTHING close to them looks better!
My husband is the great (human) completer.
I admire the way he sticks with a project until it is finished.
He reminds me of my Heavenly Father, and with the Apostle Paul I can say,
I am certain that God, who began the good work within (me),
will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
(Philippians 1:6)
I admit that I'm quite a "project"....a work in progress.
I'm a strong starter but tend to lose my enthusiasm for completing things somehow...
That's only ONE of many things The Great Completer is working on in me.
Oh, how I'm looking forward to being "finished"!

Are you a better starter or finisher?
What's the most recent project (large or small) that YOU'VE  finished?

  3. What a pretty little garden and fence! In response to your question...I'm a better starter; but I'm working on being a finisher. I've been hearing a lot from my heavenly Father lately about being more disciplined...

    1. Me, too. And at my advanced age, I'd better get with the program (discipline)!

  4. Both the fence sections and the table look great. I am definitely a "starter" but I do enjoy seeing a project to the end. Right now it is a large afghan made of "granny squares" - just have to sew them together! Also have one sock of a pair finished and started the other. Little things are nice because you can take with you to appointments.

  5. Oh, Ann! I DO like those granny square afghans - and you're right - it's nice to have projects you can take with you to appointments. Especially if you HAVE appointments :)

  6. I'm also a better starter. Love what your husband has done. It all looks GREAT.

  7. Oh dear...you had to go and ask that! Then I'll admit that I am a better starter than a completer. If I were paid for all my unfinished projects...sigh...

When I consider carefully though, I realize that I do complete some too. I suppose that's life. I'd better complete unpacking from our vacation next. ;)

The verse you chose (Philippians 1:6) is a great encouragement!

    1. Fortunately, I'm married to a good finisher :)

  8. Oh Rebecca, these projects turned out lovely! The fence, the table with its Shaker simplicity. And, most, if not all were cast aways, is that correct?

What your husband does with his projects is what God does with our lives - if we yield to the Carpenter!

    1. ALL of it was "cast away", Tamara! And yes, that IS what God does with our lives--on an ETERNAL scale!

  9. The fence looks great. It does give a completion to the look you had started. The added touch on the stair rail is really sharp. good idea.

    1. The original rails were deemed "ugly" by EVERYone from Day 1! We just never could figure out what to do with them until this brainstorm hit us. Maybe we'll start a movement :) Who knows?

  10. I think Yourguy and Myguy would be friends like you n me are. ;)

  11. 80+ pages of ghostwriting. It was a good feeling to hit send. We want to put up some picket fence, too. It does make such a difference.
