HIS Song #1

I sat me down to DO it...
compose the first of 52 Scripture songs
per one of my only-two specific New Year's resolutions.
 I selected Psalm 42:8:
By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life.
My Bible, an Eversharp pencil and a Moleskine notation book
are the primary tools of this "trade".
...and at night his song is with me...

What step(s) have YOU taken toward achieving YOUR
New Year's resolutions or goals?
(I KNOW it's early in the year,
but this one of mine meant starting NOW....)

  1. What an awesome idea for the New Year! Perhaps with your new phone you can occasionally record yourself singing/playing the verse you put to music and post it here to bless the rest of us?

What steps have I taken toward achieving my goals for the new year? Right now I am doing a lot of thinking and praying about them. I guess that's not a bad first step...

Happy New Year Rebecca! May it be filled with love, joy, and peace!

  2. One word "Awesome"!!

I have done absolutely nothing toward my goals, (being lazy this week),just waiting for Monday to come and my feet will hit the ground running. lol.
I always envy women, (of course, in a good way)who are so gifted!
    Enjoy your day.
    Hugs,

    1. And I envy (of course, in a good way) women who are so productive - canning, homemaking, etc. :) Enjoy YOUR day, Sue. I appreciate and love everything I know about you.

  5. My husband loves your goal...the music guy of the family. Getting started is one of the hardest steps. Emily has been home so my new year starts Monday. I have started on my reading list.
