This, too, is Advent!

...a recent craft I've tried...
"...moving countdown - three more days til we load up the moving van - 4 more days until closing, 5 more days until we head out to West Lafayette, Indiana. We'll be "home" for Christmas!"
Thus she posted --now a facebook friend; then an acquaintance
from my college days at Moody Bible Institute.
She and her husband had placed their house on the market many months ago
with a plan and a hope for purchasing a new house in another city upon their retirement.
Realtor was hired; ads placed. Open houses came and went.
(Maybe even an offer or two that fell through.
I really can't remember.)
All I know is that they navigated the waters of circumstantial uncertainty with grace-filled certainty
in the sovereignty of God.

Then it happened!  And in a very short time she posted the final countdown
to which I commented, "So long in coming; now so quick to happen...."
 on her facebook page.

Before the final dot in the ellipsis was placed,
my thoughts were connected with another move
A MAJOR move.  Jesus the Messiah leaving His heavenly home
to physically enter into life and death on this planet.
So long in coming, and then so quick to happen.
Not unlike the NEXT time He comes.
Jerie* is ready for her move.  VERY organized!
Boxes labeled. Layouts of her new house with furniture arrangement, etc!
I want to be ready when Jesus once again "moves"
from His current home to pack up all who have made themselves ready
to return with Him to a Permanent Home - FOREVER with the LORD!
I Thessalonians 4:17
This, too, is Advent.
So long in coming...so quick to happen.

  1. Amen..........Come Lord Jesus
and He will come quickly like a thief in the night, and get us out of this fallen world.
    What a comfort to know.

Makes me think of the words to a new song I have heard a lot recently. "All I know is I'm not home yet, this is not where I belong......take this world and give me Jesus, this is not where I belong."

Come over to see me, I have posted pics of the
crib yesterday, so if that isn't the post be sure to scroll down so you can see it. I might
post something for white Wednesday, haven't decided yet, as not sure how long I can sit.
Having a bad day as far as sitting goes, will
probably be back at the chiropractors today!! lol

    Have a great day hon,
    Blessings, Nellie
